Supplier Readiness Sessions in Superior, Milwaukee

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has announced two additional Supplier Readiness Sessions in Superior and Milwaukee to get Wisconsin suppliers involved in the Foxconn project.

  • Friday, October 19, 2018 at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, 600 N. 21st St., Superior. Registration will take place from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; the session will run from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
  • Monday, October 29, 2018 at WE Energies Public Service Building at 231 W. Michigan St. Registration will take place from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; the session will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

These sessions serve to prepare Wisconsin suppliers for the opportunities presented by Foxconn's investment, and will provide attendees with an introduction to the vendor readiness process that the company will follow.  Attendees can expect to receive an overview of vendor criteria and details on how manufacturers can become part of the company's anticipated $4.26 billion supply chain - with roughly one-third being sourced from Wisconsin.

More than 400 attendees have already attended sessions previously held in Waukesha, Platteville, Racine, Green Bay, and Madison.

The session is free, but space is limited and advanced registration is required.  More information and a link to registration can be found here: Supplier Readiness.

The Wisconn Valley News is published every other week and designed to keep interested individuals up to date on Foxconn construction plans, infrastructure improvements, traffic pattern updates, and more.  Local elected officials, suppliers, contractors and members of the public are encouraged to turn to the Wisconn Valley News for the latest project status, road updates, next steps, and interesting facts.  When appropriate, special bulletins will also be distributed to ensure the most timely information possible.
