Foxconn Hosting UW-Madison Technology Showcase and Career Fair

On October 18 and 19, Foxconn Technology Group will be hosting a technology showcase and career fair at UW-Madison's Engineering Hall.  Foxconn staff will be onsite to share more details about the Foxconn Institute for Research in Science and Technology (FIRST) and to discuss career opportunities with students.  Students from all academic backgrounds are invited to attend and learn more about the vast opportunities Foxconn has to offer.  More details can be found here: Foxconn to hold technology showcase and career fair on campus.

Supplier Readiness Sessions in Superior, Milwaukee

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) will be holding two additional supplier readiness sessions.  The first will take place on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Superior from 1 to 3 p.m.  The other will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018 at WE Energies Public Service Building in Milwaukee from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Over 400 individuals attended the first five supplier readiness sessions in Waukesha, Platteville, Racine, Green Bay, and Madison.  These sessions help to inform and prepare Wisconsin suppliers for the opportunities presented by Foxconn's investment, and will provide attendees with an introduction to the vendor readiness process that the company will follow.  Attendees can expect to receive an overview of vendor criteria and details on how manufacturers can become part of the company's anticipated $4.26 billion supply chain - with roughly one-third being sourced from Wisconsin.

The session is free, but space is limited and advanced registration is required.  More information and a link to registration can be found here: Supplier Readiness.
